Starting TODAY: Limited Edition Precious Moments Disney Cinderella Doll Collection Available at Epcot and Disneyland

Precious Moments Disney Doll Figures - Epcot Display

Whew! Now that you’ve made it past that rather lengthy title, I thought I’d mention that there are a lot of reasons Liesle & I enjoy visiting the park together. When we’re together though, I find I also benefit from the fact that she notices things that I would have breezed right by.

Case in point are these Precious Moments Disney Dolls, which Liesle noticed were out on display today at Epcot, right in front of the American Adventure building. They go for $49.95 apiece, and you’ll notice many Disney characters in the image above…

Precious Moments Disney Doll Collection: Cinderella Stepmother and Stepsisters

The “piece de resistance” this year are these three limited edition dolls, representing Cinderella’s wicked stepmother and stepsisters from the more recently-released movie, which just went out on display today. The Cast Member working the display told us that they’ve received just thirty of these here at Epcot, and thirty more went to Disneyland in California.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

(Sheesh… Disney should pay me for writing this stuff lol…)

The Lily James version of Cinderella was also out on display, and is new this year as well. I *think* there are 300 of these available, again split between Epcot and Disneyland.

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival – More Scenery and Food Reviews Part II

Chip Topiary - Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2016

Liesle and I returned to Epcot earlier this week for more scenery and food samples from the Flower & Garden Festival. If you haven’t read Part I yet, which displays all of the menus and food kiosks, I’d recommend checking that out now, as this post will continue what we started there.

Jerk-spiced Chicken - Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2016

We’ll follow again in a clockwise circle around the World Showcase, this time sampling some of the food items we didn’t review last time. (And as always, you can click on any image for a larger view, then use your browser’s BACK button to return to this post.)

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2016: First Look with LOTS of Pictures, Full Menus with Prices, Topiaries, Food Reviews Part I

Daisy Duck Topiary - Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2016

It’s March, and with it comes the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. This year the festival is longer than it’s been previously, running from March 2nd through May 30th.

It’s only two days in at this point, but I’ve both seen and tasted enough of the festival’s offerings now that I wanted to share my initial impressions. I’ll do this with an extensive photo tour of the various topiary sights, pictures of the full menus (including prices), as well as some food reviews of the items I’ve experienced so far.

As always, the character topiaries on display are always fun. These guys greet guests shortly after entering the park.

Further into the park, over closer to the Imagination building, Sorcerer Mickey and his broomsticks greet you as you walk by.

Flower Beds - Epcot Flower & Garden Festival 2016

As you get closer to the World Showcase, the flower beds are also quite stunning.

Park Ranger Mickey (if there is such a thing?) greets you on the back side of Spaceship Earth, as you make your way nearer the World Showcase.

RideMax Fan Mail

Walt Disney World - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Just a quick update today. It’s always fun hearing from RideMax customers who found the software helpful. Knowing that we’ve helped folks more fully enjoy their experience in Disney’s theme parks is one of the things that keeps me going.

In that spirit, I appreciated this recent note from Jason, from Salem, Ohio, who used RideMax to plan a trip to Walt Disney World trip with his young daughter.

The software was worth double the cost, easy. I planned a spur-of-the-moment trip to Disney World for my daughter’s sixth birthday. We are a spontaneous family like that, but I’d been there twice before and in order to make sure my daughter got to ride everything I thought she’d like, I knew I needed a plan. RideMax to the rescue.

We went to Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot, each for a day. I crammed as much as I could into those days, including being at Magic Kingdom early (we got up at 6, at park by 8:30) and stayed until 11pm. Out of 3 days we missed only 2 rides on our list, but it was mainly due to my poor planning – I didn’t expect the line for Anna and Elsa to be 2 hours.

Even though Epcot was on a Sunday, I picked the Friday before because the hours and extended hours closely matched. It was pretty darn accurate.

We had a blast all three days and I know we got double the rides in with RideMax.

Thanks for those kind words, Jason. I’m glad you had such a nice trip, and that RideMax could help!

“Tomorrowland” Movie Preview Comes to Disneyland and Epcot

Just a brief post today… I stopped in for a quick visit to Epcot this morning for the Annual Passholder preview of the “Tomorrowland” movie. This is basically a 12-minute “tease” for the film.

I won’t give anything away here, but let’s just say that I’m really looking forward to the movie!

Tomorrowland movie preview at Epcot

Here’s a picture of the entrance to the preview at Epcot. This takes the place of Captain EO. Not sure if EO will eventually return or not, as there are conflicting stories on social media about this.

Tomorrowland movie prop

This was the only prop on display.

Countdown until Tomorrowland movie starts

Countdown timer told us how much longer we had to wait for the preview to begin.

Tomorrowland Movie Pin

They were handing out these pins to annual passholders. Still not sure if I dare open the package and actually touch the pin or not, lol.
